Can I make a reservation by phone?
Please note that we do not accept reservations by phone or e-mail. Reservations can be made through this website. If you have any difficulties, please contact us.
I want to cancel my reservation.
Our inn does not accept cancellations by phone or email. If you wish to cancel your reservation, please do so through the website where you made your reservation. In addition, in accordance with our cancellation policy, a cancellation fee of 50% of the room rate will be charged if you cancel from 7 to 1 days prior to your scheduled stay date, and 100% of the room rate will be charged if you cancel on your scheduled stay date or No show.
What is the inn policy for children?
Children are welcomed to stay at the inn. The stay fee is the same for adult and children guests. Infants under 3 years old stay free of charge, but without arrangement of additional bedding.
Can I stay with a pet?
No, pets are not allowed to stay at the inn.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
We accept check-in from 15:00 on the day of your stay. Check-out time is until 11:00.
Where should I go to check in?
Check-in takes place at the front desk of Hotel Shikitei. It cannot be done directly at the inn, so please come to the Hotel Shikitei first. Please check the access information for the location details.
I am going to be late for check-in, do I need to contact you?

Can I extend my check-out time?
We are sorry, but we do not allow the use of the facilities after the check-out time.
Is it possible to ask for front desk service?
We do not provide general front desk service, as our concept is to allow our guests to relax freely in a private lodge. Do you have a parking area?
There is a parking space that can accommodate two compact cars. The entrance to the parking area is not wide, so if your car is larger than medium size please inquire at the time of check in.
Is smoking allowed in the inn?
Smoking is not allowed indoors (this includes vaporizers, e-cigarettes, heated tobacco, etc.). Smoking is not allowed outdoors on the premises, except in designated areas. (Please refer to the rules of use.) Also, please be aware that the inn is a historical wooden house, so we ask you to be careful when discarding cigarette butts and other related possible causes of fire.
Is there a TV in the house?
We do not have a TV in our inn. We wish to offer you a peaceful retreat to take a break from the intense hustle and bustle of life.
Are the guest rooms wheelchair-accessible?
In order to preserve the traditional kominka style of the house, no modifications for accessibility have been made on it. Please note that there may be some inconvenience caused by stairs and steps.
Is there an internet connection available?
Free internet (Wi-Fi) is available.
Do you provide meals?
No, we do not provide meals at the inn. However, we can recommend restaurants in the area, so please consult with us upon check-in if interested.
What amenities and equipment do you have?
Please refer to the Facilities And Services section. Please note that we do not provide sleepwear/room wear. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we ask you to please bring your own.
